Adare Bypass, Co. Limerick

The Adare Bypass is part of a Sisk Sorenson joint venture to complete 7km of motorway from Foynes to Limerick City by June 2027 at an approx. cost of €150m. One of the projects key objectives is to remove the congestion from the N21 prior to the hosting of the RyderCup at Adare Manor September 2007.

Trench Control were asked to install a difficult 3 sided cofferdam design adjacent to live traffic in very stiff ground which had to be pre-auged to the toe depth. TCL installed sheets and hydraulic frames to allow SISK a safe working depth to install there concrete slab.

A short hire period for TCL but for job that is moving at a fast pace with strict deadlines to meet it was a specialised solution.
