Glenveagh Homes commenced construction of 1,200 new homes at Balmoston,a 32 hectare site in Donabate, North Co Dublin. The first phase of construction consists of 432 affordable, private, cost rental and social homes.

As part of the civil infrastructure for this site, Glenveagh has to install a deep water attenuation tank to manage the surface water run off more than 8m below the existing ground level. A challenging design with the natural water course only metres away TCL in-house geotechnical designers provided a cofferdam solution utilising 3 levels of high capacity hydraulic frames.

TCL Successfully installed this cofferdam and the main contractor installed the tanks required before we returned to extract the frames and sheets in mid June.
